The Rain Wipe

The Rain Wipe

When I was a babe,
Standing in the rain,
Was innocence at play.

These days,
‘Tis a dream,
That the pelting rain,
Can cleanse away,
The debilitating baggage,
Of my worries and pains.

But, the sad reality
Is that a man can only wish,
For so much rain.
